Mac vs. PC. Coke vs. Pepsi. Dogs vs. cats. Most everyone leans one way or another, and around these parts, the same holds true for Nantucket vs. Martha’s Vineyard. Both are beautiful islands with lots to offer, but in my experience, people are in one camp or another, usually depending on where they visited when they were growing up. I have always been Team Nantucket, but after meeting Michael and Sarah and letting them take me around their favorite parts of the Vineyard, I may have to change my answer.
Michael grew up in Vineyard Haven, and now helps to run Giordano’s, a restaurant that’s been in his family for four generations. Sarah is fast becoming a Vineyard girl herself, and it was amazing to tag along with them as they took me through the Camp to see all of the gingerbread houses; to a private beach where we had the entire place to ourselves; and to Michael’s favorite golf course, where he donned his Bruins Jersey (the Stanley Cup finals were that night).
This was an easy one — Sarah and Michael are fun and happy and oh-so-photogenic, don’t you think? I can’t wait for their wedding this winter!
