Olivia — South Shore Senior Photographer

I was speaking to a client the other day about rescheduling a meeting that we had to cancel. I asked her if she minded waiting until September, and she replied with “are you taking some time off at the end of August?”

(any photographer reading this is on the floor right now.)

Unlike Italy and the Hamptons, August and September do not offer me one single moment of dolce far niente or hammock-swinging time. August is a crazed rush of weddings and high school seniors and families trying to squeeze in their shoots before the kids go back to school and some days I feel like my camera is never out of my hand. Fortunately, I wouldn’t have it any other way =) Calder and I do enjoy food and shelter!

Senior Season is upon us, and it’s likely that you’ll see lots and lots of these awesome kids here on the blog in the next month or two. Olivia is a cousin to my sweet sweet friend Annika, and so I felt very blessed that I got the opportunity to take her senior photos and spend some time with her and her mom Eileen. We headed down to the beach and caught some amazing light in her pretty hair… She is headed to Europe with her dad for a bit at the end of this summer, so I’m hoping she gets to enjoy some of that sweet down time before she starts her senior year. Olivia, you are a dream to photograph — thank you for being so fun!
