Lauren and James — Camp Kiwanee Wedding Photographer

I first met Lauren and James at one of the cafe tables in a Whole Foods. It was an unusual place to take a client meeting, but it really set the stage for how unique and balanced these two are, and right away I knew that I wanted to not only shoot their wedding, but I also wanted to hang out with them and maybe get some of that really cool Halloumi cheese and just be all healthy and zen. We did their engagement photos out in a field with their dogs, and they were total superstars for the camera.

Their wedding at Camp Kiwanee was everything they wanted: rustic, woodsy, peaceful…they incorporated a singing bowl, burning sage, and buddhist wisdom into their ceremony, and it was as unique and wonderful as they are. Lauren wore the same necklace her mom wore at her own wedding. James wore socks that Lauren had made for him. They did a First Look, and couldn’t take their eyes off of each other. I was lucky enough to have the fabulous Rachel Buckley along to second shoot for me, and she got some killer shots. This is one of my longest posts in a while — so many amazing moments with Lauren and James, their friends and family, and all of the special details that made it theirs. Enjoy!!

Lauren and James, thank you so much for sharing your day, and I wish you many, many years of happiness! xoxo
