September Serenade: Julia and Steven’s Unforgettable Kennebunkport Wedding

Imagine a scene straight out of a storybook: A wedding in Kennebunkport, ME, on a perfect blue-sky September day, playing host to Julia and Steven. Theirs was not just any ordinary celebration; it was a love story against the backdrop of a town filled with charm and nostalgia.

Julia’s Childhood Haven and Steven’s Resort Retreat

Julia, with her heart tied to Kennebunkport since childhood, embarked on her wedding day preparations at her family’s cherished house. Each corner reminds her of summers gone by. Meanwhile, Steven embarked on his own adventure at the Nonantum Resort, where anticipation mingles with the coastal breeze and the buzz of preparations.

Their first look, perched atop a rocky cliff overlooking the ocean, was a moment of pure magic (aided by Julia’s brothers helping her down the ledge…). Against the backdrop of crashing waves and salty air, the couple shared laughter and a few tears and a spectacular view. Definitely a photographer’s dream location (and I have many)!

They then drove a vintage MG to St. Ann’s Church, a stunning retreat by the water for family photos and the ceremony. A gorgeous wedding party, perfect weather, and happy guests made for an awesome service. The very best part was that the couple’s beloved dog Max was the ring bearer and an absolute stud during photos!

Setting Sail for Celebration: A Reception to Remember

After the ceremony, the festivities continued with a private boat ride to the Nonantum Resort, where the real party began. Surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Kennebunkport’s waters, Julia, Steven, and their guests mingled on the broad lawn of the Nonantum and indulged in local brews and a signature drink featuring Mister Max!
