Cohasset Lightkeeper’s Cottage — Rebecca + James

So behind on blogging. So so so so so behind. Whomever it was that made the days only 24 hours long was certainly not a photographer. Rebecca and James have been so patient about waiting for their blog post; but that’s no surprise, since they waited ten years to get married!

I met Rebecca at Lucky Finn in Scituate one day last year while I was meeting with another bride. In Rebecca’s words, she was being “nosy” and heard me taking about wedding photography. We hit it off and this past August I had the great honor of spending the day with Rebecca and James and their families and friends for a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was held at the Scituate Maritime Center; Rebecca and her dad came across Scituate Harbor on the White Cap and arrived in style. After the ceremony, we reboarded and motored to Cohasset, where the guests were waiting at the Cohasset Lightkeeper’s Cottage for the reception. Rebecca did such a good job with the nautical theme of this wedding — they are both avid sailors and it was wonderful to see so many people in the harbor wishing them well. Blues and yellows and burgee pins instead of boutonneirs — it was a glorious day on and beside the water, and I know James and Rebecca are going to be very happy sailing through their days together.

Happy love!
