Actually, Cindy and Mark have been married since September, and have been INFINITELY patient waiting for their blog post. Where did the fall go? Yesterday the kids were going back to school, and today I’m picking icicles off my eyelashes. Nine degrees is about 70 degrees too cold for me.
What can I tell you about Cindy and Mark that I didn’t already say in the post about their engagement shoot? They are such wonderful people — easy going, friendly, just nice nice nice. When I showed up at the hotel with my second shooter Jessica Rich (who killed it), Cindy was having some issues with her makeup artist. Any bride would be a little rattled by that kind of a setback, but Cindy just took it in stride, rallied some of her friends to rummage through their makeup bags, and voila! Hair, makeup, dress — all done in about 15 minutes. Very impressive! Jessica spent some time with Mark while I hung out with Cindy, and then we all met at their venue, Lake Pearl, so the bride and groom could do their First Look.
Jessica’s view:
Lake Pearl has flowers galore in September, and Cindy and Mark took advantage of the beauty and held their ceremony right in the garden.
Down to the lake for some couples shots:
This was one of those receptions where people of all ages were on the dance floor all night. Such a great party, and such a wonderful blessing to share this day with Cindy and Mark!
